WHAT YOU’LL TAKE INTO YOUR PRACTICE

Imagine your practice with more…

I

Purpose

Design with intention. Create sessions with clear learning outcomes and a reason behind every activity. Learn to turn horse-based experiences into purposeful opportunities for learning, reflection and growth.

II

Confidence

Facilitate people, not just activities. Develop the confidence to ask meaningful questions, notice what is happening, guide reflection, respond to participants and adapt your approach in the moment.

III

Possibility

Build on what you already know. Explore how EAL can complement your existing skills and professional experience. Develop approaches that reflect your strengths, your horses, your environment and the people you want to support.

From knowing how to work with horses, to knowing how to create learning with them.

I'M READY TO ENROL

Before this certification, I had no idea how to structure a session beyond just 'doing things with horses.' Now I run programs for schools and youth organisations with complete confidence.

Sarah M.

RIDING INSTRUCTOR

I'd been working with horses for 15 years but couldn't explain the value of what I did to funding bodies. This certification gave me the language, the framework, and the credibility.

Jess T.

YOUTH WORKER

Within three months of completing the certification, the practical tools made all the difference. I had signed my first contract with a local school.

Rachel K.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

I was already a qualified teacher, but I had no idea how to bring horses into the classroom in a meaningful way. This program completely transformed my practice.

WHO IT'S FOR

Is This Program Right for You?

You may already know horses inside and out. Or you may have years of experience in education, coaching, youth development, allied health, or community support.

This program is designed for professionals who want to bring those skills together with horses to create purposeful, structured, and meaningful learning experiences.

The Difference
THE DIFFERENCE

It's Not About Having More Horse Activities.

It’s About Knowing How to Create Meaningful Learning With Them.

Anyone can collect a list of activities to do with horses.

The real skill is knowing why you’re doing something, who you’re doing it for, and what you want the experience to achieve. You’ll learn how to look at the person in front of you, understand what they’re working towards, and intentionally create experiences that give them opportunities to practise, discover, reflect and learn.

This is the thinking behind purposeful Equine Assisted Learning. Rather than giving you someone else’s program to follow, we give you the principles, frameworks and skills to develop EAL experiences of your own.

THE FACILITATOR MINDSET

The Art of Asking Purposeful Questions

Facilitating impactful Equine Assisted Learning starts with shifting how you observe. Throughout this program, you will learn to ask yourself:

01 Goal Clarification

What is this participant working towards?

02 Exploration

What could they practise, explore, or discover?

03 Equine Dynamic

What is the horse contributing to the experience?

04 Active Observation

What am I observing in this moment?

05 Insight & Meaning

What might this tell me about their learning?

06 Forward Action

What needs to happen next?

YOUR TEACHER

Learn from an Australian registered teacher and experienced EAL practitioner.

The EAL Facilitator Professional Development Program has been developed by the team at Alkira Adina Equestrian, drawing on years of experience designing and delivering Equine Assisted Learning programs in real-world settings. Our experience spans schools, youth programs, disability support, education and community settings, giving us a practical understanding of what it takes to create EAL experiences that are purposeful, engaging and meaningful. This program has been shaped by real-world practice, not just theory. You’ll learn from practitioners who have developed and delivered EAL programs from the ground up and who understand the questions, challenges and decisions that come with bringing EAL into your own professional setting.

We’re not asking you to simply follow someone else’s model. We’re sharing the thinking, frameworks and practical experience behind our approach so you can develop EAL in a way that works for you, your horses and the people you support.
